Job Overview
Tasks and Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Program Development (15%):
- Develop, implement, and maintain an EHS management system ensuring compliance with regulations, TE policies, and specifications.
- Cultivate a world-class HSE culture through behavioral-based safety methods, fostering safety excellence, and ensuring safe working conditions for employees and partners.
- Partner with TEOA leaders to integrate EHS into operational processes.
- Manage and oversee compliance with environmental regulations and TE HSE objectives.
- Engage employees at all levels to drive safe behavior and implement HSE initiatives for improved safety performance.
2. EHS Structure & Program Management (15%):
- Establish action plans for EHS programs and lead teams to drive improvements.
- Communicate with all levels to engage, influence, and motivate employees on EHS initiatives.
- Audit and evaluate EHS management systems, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Establish monitoring systems for EHS performance and compliance with legislation.
- Develop organizational EHS metrics and maintain Business Continuity/Crisis Management Planning.
3. Continuous Process Improvement (25%):
- Participate in EHS inspections, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
- Support management in directing EHS programs and facilitating process improvements.
- Train and mentor staff on EHS programs and best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and share best practices for enhanced EHS performance.
4. Establish & Track Metrics/KPIs (20%):
- Report EHS data to management and stakeholders using appropriate tools.
- Integrate EHS reporting into existing business systems for informed decision-making.
- Monitor and report safety performance against established metrics and TEOA Safety Tool.
- Evaluate and report environmental performance quarterly using TE environmental assessment tools.
5. Lead Continuous Learning and People Development (25%):
- Implement EH&S training programs to meet internal and legal requirements.
- Deliver EHS training to develop necessary competencies and promote safe practices.
- Advise management on EHS matters, regulations, and compliance.
- Guide employees to ensure compliance with regulations and support environmental sustainability.
- Continuously learn and stay updated on EHS best practices.
- Coach operational leadership to establish a strong EHS culture and support decision-making.
- Develop and ensure global contracts for TE NA and integrate EH&S programs into day-to-day operations.
What your background should look like:
- Bac+5 in Health, Safety and Environment or similar.
- Min 5 to 7 years of experience in the Automotive industry.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and hazard identification techniques.
- Experience in leading and managing HSE teams or departments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting a safe and environmentally responsible workplace culture.
